A 37-year-old resident of the Village of Largo was arrested Wednesday night in Lake Sumter Landing on a charge of driving under the influence.
Evan Robert McCluckie pulled out of the TooJay’s parking lot on Canal Street in his vehicle at 8:18 p.m. without coming to a complete stop, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He then drove to Old Camp Road and Lake Sumter Landing and made a right turn at the traffic light without coming to a complete stop, the arrest report indicated.
When the deputy pulled over McCluckie he detected the odor of alcohol. The deputy asked McCluckie if had been drinking and he replied that he had consumed “three Bud Lights” at City Fire, the arrest reported said. When the deputy asked him to complete field sobriety exercises, McCluckie indicated that he believed he would be unable to complete them.
He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center and booked on a charge of DUI. Bond was set at $1,000.
