Village of Liberty Park woman surprised when she sinks third hole-in-one

Beth Disque of the Village of Liberty Park got her third hole-in-one golfing at the Fort Walton course on Bonifay on Sunday, June 19. She used a 7 iron for the 110 yard shot into brisk wind on the 8th hole.

She used a ball she found on the course near the 6th green for the lucky shot.

“I thought the shot was good but I couldn’t really tell and my playing partners weren’t watching (typical men). When we approached the green, I saw three balls and figured the one just off the front of the green was mine. I was a little disappointed because I thought I had landed on the green. When I saw my three playing partners walking to the only visible balls, I decided to look in the cup. And there it was! What a surprise,” she said.

Have you recently gotten a hole-in-one or enjoyed some other local sports triumph?
