A Village of Rio Grande woman was arrested on drug charges Tuesday after she was pulled over for having an expired tag on her license plate.

Michelle Jean Reigle, 44, had been driving a Chevy SUV at 2:15 p.m. at Griffin Avenue and La Grande Boulevard when she was pulled over by a Lady Lake police officer.

She allowed the officer to search her vehicle and he discovered a pipe and a scale. A field test of the pipe came back positive for methamphetamine, the arrest report indicated.

Reigle was booked at the Lake County Jail on charges of methamphetamine possession and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bond was set at $6,000.

She is due for arraignment June 8 in Lake County Court.
