Village of Rio Ponderosa woman sentenced to probation on charges of DUI, battery of law enforcement officer

A 51-year-old Village of Rio Ponderosa woman has been sentenced to three years probation on charges of driving under the influence and battery on a law enforcement officer.

Michele Ludwig will also lose her driver’s license for six months, according to Sumter County Court records.

She had been arrested three times within the past two years:

• She was tasered by a deputy attempting to investigate a traffic accident in November 2015. You can read about that arrest HERE

• She was arrested in December 2015 after she kicked a nurse in the stomach at The Villages Regional Hospital. You can read about that arrest HERE

• She was arrested in September 2016 after she drove over a planter in a golf cart in Spanish Springs. You can read about that arrest HERE
