A 50-year-old Villager was arrested a charge of possession of drug paraphernalia outside the Publix at Southern Trace shopping plaza.

Todd Andrew Adcock of Hampton Villas in the Village of Sabal Chase was outside the Publix shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday when he was approached by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy.

The deputy asked Adcock if he could pat him down for a weapons check, according to the arrest report. Adcock agreed.

During the pat down, the deputy found a small pipe in Adcock’s pocket, and when the deputy asked Adcock what it was, he responded, “my crack pipe.”

The deputy then field tested residue in the pipe and it tested positive for cocaine, the arrest report indicated.

Adcock was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $1,000.
