Village of Santiago woman ordered to stay out of store after allegedly switching tags on dresses

A 66-year-old Village of Santiago woman has been ordered to stay out of Belk at La Plaza Grande shopping center after she allegedly attempted to switch pricetags on dresses.

Nancy Chop entered the store on May 17 and took two Crown and Ivy dresses into a fitting room, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

A loss prevention officer suspected she had been tampering with the tags. She went to the register with one of the dresses and paid $10 less than the price that the dress was supposed to sell at, the report noted.

She was issued a misdemeanor summons and trespassed from Belk.
