A 79-year-old Village of Woodbury man reported that a fraudulent loan had been taken out in his name.
The man reported Tuesday that he had received a letter in the mail from a company called “Check and Go” wanting to settle a $579.50 debt, according to an incident report from the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
The man contacted the company in Fairfield, Ohio which explained someone had taken a loan out in his name. The company asked the Villager to submit a police report.
