A Villager, a Lady Lake man and an Oxford woman were among 27 people rounded up in “Operation Pressure Point,” a drug sweep conducted by the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.
The Special Investigations Squad conducted a countywide three-month operation resulting in the arrests.
According to the sheriff’s office, the arrests represent Sheriff Bill Farmer’s “ongoing commitment to keep Sumter County safe.”
The arrests were announced Friday afternoon.
Those arrested include:
• Michael Logan Weber, 50, of The Villages. He is facing charges of selling and possessing cocaine. He is being held without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
• Richard Michael Swanson, 59, of Lady Lake, who was arrested by Lake County officials on Sumter County warrants charging him with sale of a controlled substance, possession of morphine with intent to sell or deliver. He has been jailed in Lake County on $12,000 bond.
• Amanda Kay Dandrige, 36, of Oxford. She is facing charges of possessing and selling methamphetamine.
