A Villager who was recently turned down for a reverse mortgage, made a troubling discovery about her credit.
The 68-year-old woman who lives in the Village of Country Club Hills learned on March 15 she had been turned down due to the fact she had too many late payments and two accounts in collection, according to an incident report from the Lady Lake Police Department. The woman ran a credit report and discovered four delinquent accounts she had never opened. The accounts included U.S. Bank, Citi Bank and American Express.
Police issued her an identity theft packet.
