A 67-year-old Villager is facing a charge of driving under the influence after her red Ford utility vehicle was spotted in a ditch on Friday night.
A Sumter County sheriff’s deputy responded to the scene at about 8:30 p.m. after a passerby called 911. The deputy found Leslie Kalin Davidson of Aber Lane in The Villages in the vehicle with the headlights on and the engine running. The deputy also found that Davidson was not wearing any pants. She pointed to the pants on the floor of the vehicle and told the deputy they were wet, according to the accident report. The deputy instructed Davidson to put her pants back on.
The deputy found a 16-ounce Yuengling beer in the vehicle’s cup holder, the accident report indicated.
She failed field sobriety tests and provided breath samples that registered .179 and .182 blood alcohol content.
She was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center on $1,000 bond. She was also ticketed on an open container violation.
