Villager arrested on battery charge in Village of Haciendas of Mission Hills

A 70-year-old Villager was arrested early Monday morning after he allegedly threw a book at a woman.

A Sumter County sheriff’s deputy was called at 1:50 a.m. Monday to a home on Reyes Avenue in the Village of Haciendas of Mission Hills.

There woman told the deputy that Stephen M. Lewis had thrown a book at her during an argument, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

Lewis denied throwing the book at the woman, the report indicated.

He was booked without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.

Let them keep the fence!
