A Village of Polo Ridge man arrested in December on a charge of driving under the influence after he was found sleeping in his car at a postal station, has been arrested again.
Michael James Philipbar, 54, was arrested Monday night on a charge of driving while license suspended after he was pulled over on U.S. Hwy. 301 by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy. The deputy had run a check of Philipbar’s license plate which revealed the vehicle’s owner had a suspended driver’s license.
Philipbar confirmed to the deputy his license had been suspended for six months due to the December DUI, according to the arrest report.
Philipbar was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center. Bond was set at $500.
