Villager arrested on shoplifting charge at Beall’s

A 65-year-old resident of The Villages is free on $1,000 bond following her arrest Friday night at Beall’s.

Dorothea Stone had been apprehended by the loss prevention agent at the store located at 13687 U.S. Hwy. 441 in Lady Lake.

She allegedly conducted a fraudulent refund and shoplifted other items.

She was take into custody by Sumter County sheriff’s deputies and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
