Bowler Carol Teel of The Villages has already won two gold medals in the Super Senior Women’s Division at the 52nd Lee Evans Tournament of The Americas in Sunrise.
On Tuesday, she won in the singles division. In 12 games, she bowled a total of 2,298 easily beating second place finisher Enriqueta Berra of Mexico who bowled for a total of 2,093.
On Wednesday, in the women’s doubles division, she and her partner also bowled for gold, winning their division by 156 pins.
On Thursday, she will compete in mixed doubles.
The Lee Evans Tournament of the Americas is the oldest annual international tournament in the American Zone. It is an invitational event for countries in the Pan American Bowling Confederation (PABCON), the American Zone of the World Tenpin Bowling Association.
In each division, one team comprised of two men and two women compete in singles, doubles, mixed doubles and mixed team. After 36 games, individual all-events and national all-events champions are recognized.
