A 55-year-old Village of Rio Grande man, free on bond from an arrest this summer, was back behind bars after an attack Thursday on a woman at his home.

Scott David Wolfe was arrested at 3:21 a.m. Thursday at his home in the 600 block of San Pedro Drive.

He had gotten angry with the woman after she had gotten “friendly” with another male acquaintance that evening at an establishment, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. After an argument broke out back at home, the woman tried to get away from Wolfe. He followed her and punched her in the back multiple times with his fist, according to the arrest report.

Wolfe was arrested in June after allegedly making threats with a knife and a gun. You can read about that incident HERE. He posted bond and was released, but landed back in jail nine hours later after violating a condition of his release. You can read about that incident HERE.

He was booked Thursday without bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
