Joy Lorraine Hunt had been arrested April 18 after she was spotted by a Rural/Metro Ambulance crew. She had been driving south in the northbound lane of Buena Vista Boulevard. Her car had two flat tires. The ambulance crew detained Hunt until law enforcement arrived on the scene.

A Sumter County sheriff’s deputy asked Hunt where she was coming from and she responded by saying, “from the bar.” The deputy then asked Hunt if she had been drinking and she replied, “A lot, I shouldn’t be driving.” You can read more about the arrest HERE

She remains free on $1,000 bond.

Hunt’s legal counsel has filed a motion in Sumter County Court, seeking permission for Hunt to travel to an out-of-state wedding. She would be gone May 22 through June 7.

Hunt is a Florida native.
