Villager in golf cart finds wallet containing more than $100 in cash

A Villager in a golf cart found a wallet Sunday afternoon containing more than $100 in cash in the Village of Calumet Grove.

The 72-year-old Villager had been traveling in his golf cart at about 3 p.m. on Broughton Place when he made the discovery.

The wallet contained $137 in cash, several credit cards and the driver’s license of a 70-year-old woman who lives in The Villages.

The man turned it over to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
