Villager injured in golf cart collision near Turtle Mound

The Florida Highway Patrol has been called in to investigate a golf cart collision on the path near Turtle Mound golf course.

One Villager was transported from the scene of the accident which occurred at about 3:15 p.m. Monday.

The operator of the second golf cart was not injured.

The Sumter County Sheriff’s was at the scene of the accident but then turned over the investigation to FHP.

Villages Public Safety also responded to the scene of the accident.
