Villager to escape prosecution in family fracas in Village of Fenney

A Villager will escape prosecution in a family fracas earlier this year in the Village of Fenney.

EMS and Wildwood police responded at about 8 a.m. May 2 to a home on Cedar Waxing Drive, where two men said they had been attacked by 54-year-old Lisa Eckert.

Eckert’s husband showed police a small laceration on the top of his head and claimed Eckert had caused the injury, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. His injury was photographed by police.

Eckert’s adult son said Eckert hit him on the head with a plate the previous day. He said later that day, he had been trying to leave the residence when Eckert pushed him multiple times in an attempt to prevent him from leaving. He said he was nearly pushed to the ground, but caught himself. EMS was called to the scene, as he complained of head pain.

She was arrested on two counts of misdemeanor battery.

In June, Judge Paul Militello granted a motion to allow Eckert to have “peaceful contact” with her husband. Earlier this month, the prosecutor’s office announced no information would be filed in the case due to “victim/witness issues.”
