Villager won’t be prosecuted in domestic violence case

An 85-year-old Villager won’t be prosecuted in a domestic violence case in which he was arrested this past January follwing a fight with his wife over credit card and cell phone charges.

Henry Edward Hieftje had been arrested after the altercation with his wife of 16 months at their residence on Myrtle Beach Drive in the Village of Country Club Hills.

However, last month the prosecutor’s office announced no information would be filed in the case.

Hieftje filed for divorce in February.
