Villagers get back chairs that went missing during Italian-American event at square

There is a happy ending for a pair of chairs that went missing at the Italian-American celebration last week at Spanish Springs Town Square.

Villager Frank Truglio, a member of the Resident Parade Committee, told of the disappearance of the chairs in a recent Letter to the Editor.

This weekend, Truglio contacted Villages-News.com to make it known that the mystery of the disappearing chairs had been solved.

“There was a group of people sitting next to us who we know from the Italian American club and someone in the group, when they were leaving picked them up thinking they were theirs,” said Truglio.

He and his wife June had a starring role in the parade, sailing in a motorized Santa Maria along the route.

“The people realized they had extra chairs but they couldn’t figure out who they belonged to,” Truglio said.

The Villagers with the chairs figured it out after learning about their disappearance through Villages-News.com.
