The Sumter County Sheriff’s Office was on the scene of an accident in which a SUV collided with a golf cart early Monday evening in the Village of St. James.

A man and his wife in the golf cart were at a full stop at the corner of Ashville Avenue and St. Charles Place. The female driver of the SUV made a left turn off St Charles Place onto Ashville Avenue hitting the golf cart.
The SUV driver said the setting sun obscured her vision.

No one was injured in the accident.

The golf cart was towed from the scene of the collision.
