Christmas came early for Paula Mooney of the Village of Tamarind.
Her husband’s therapy companion, Marley, had gone missing on Wednesday.
The five-year-old Miniature Schnauzer has helped Mooney’s husband, Frank, cope with Alzheimer’s Disease. She regularly visits with him at Lady Lake Specialty Care where he is a resident.
Paula Mooney has been frantic since Marley vanished from her home.
Her prayers were answered Saturday morning when her neighbor, Gary Hall, found Marley at the entrance to the Cottonwood Villas, where Mooney resides.
Mooney was worried about what Marley’s condition would be when she got her home.
She was surprised that Marley was clean and well groomed when she came home.
It appeared that someone had taken good care of her.
She is planing a reunion for her husband and Marley.
