Villager’s son arrested after ‘beer run,’ won’t be getting out of jail

A Villager’s 38-year-old son arrested Tuesday morning after a beer run at Circle K on the Historic Side of The Villages won’t be getting out of jail any time soon.

Keith Barnum of 730 Roseapple Ave. had been released Sept. 18 from the Lake County Jail after serving 10 days for crimes committed this sumer. On Tuesday morning, he returned to Circle K and left with a four-pack of Natural Ice Beer for which he had not paid, according to an arrest report from the Lady Lake Police Department.

An employee recognized Barnum from a previous incident in which he had been trespassed from the service station. You can read about that arrest HERE. You can read about his recent sentencing HERE.

As a result of those incidents, Barnum had been placed on probation. As a result of his most-recent arrest, Barnum has been charged with violating his probation. He is being held at the Lake County Jail.
