Villagers’ son convicted of sex crime, armed robbery moves out of home in Village of Winifred

A 40-year-old registered sex offender from Michigan who had moved in with his parents in The Village of Winifred has now moved to Oxford.

Jonathan David Pentz was convicted in 2000 of a sex offense involving a minor between the ages of 13 and 15 in Oakland, Michigan. He was also convicted of carrying a concealed weapon in 2000. In 2005, he was also convicted of the armed robberies of gas stations and a Radio Shack in Canton, Wayne and Westland, Michigan.

This past October, he registered an address at 607 Sherwood St. in the Village of Winifred, according to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement.

This past week, Pentz registered a new address with FDLE. He is now living at 4458A County Road 472 in Oxford, according to FDLE, which tracks sex offenders in Florida.

He will remain under the supervision of the Florida Department of Corrections until Sept. 29, 2018.
