Villagers will have three chances to enjoy Christmas tree-lighting ceremonies this week.

The first will take place Monday evening at Spanish Springs Town Square.

Here’s a look at last year’s event:

The Christmas tree at Lake Sumter Landing Market will be lit on Wednesday evening. The final Christmas tree lighting ceremony will take place Friday evening at Brownwood Paddock Square.

Each of the tree-lighting events includes performances by the Villages Twirlers and Drum Corps as as well as the Villages Cheerleaders.

Singer Billie Thatcher will serve as emcee.

The traditional Candle Distribution takes place just before the actual Tree Lighting Ceremony, which will take place at 7 p.m.
