Villages Honor Flight veterans and Guardians gather for reunion

Veterans and Guardians from the March and May Villages Honor Flights gathered on Saturday afternoon along with the February Flightless group to celebrate their respective flights.

The event was held at Colony Cottage Recreation Center.

The veterans received a special welcome from the Villages Twirlers and Drum Corps.

Villages entertainer Billie Thatcher sang old songs that brought many memories for the World War II veterans and several Korean vets who recently completed their flights to Washington D.C.

The next Villages Honor Flight is scheduled for Sept. 10.
