Wyatt James Klein was taken into custody on Tuesday at his residence by Wildwood police.

The president of the Villages of Parkwood Homeowners Association had provided police with surveillance images that showed Klein approaching the gate on April 6 in a Black Nissan Armada registered to his wife, according to an arrest report. The surveillance images showed the gate working properly before Klein approached it. He apparently did not have the proper access code. He struck the keypad with his fist and then forced the gate arm open, the report indicated.

The estimate for the repair of the gate was $4,795.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $2,000 bond.
