Villages Parrot Heads Club presents $2,700 check to All-One-Family

Now in its 10th year helping less fortunate families in Wildwood, All-One-Family has already made donations to 6,788 people in its first nine years.

Families are identified by two churches, Wildwood Church of God and Wildwood Faith Outreach Ministry #2, and the Wildwood Police Department. Programs throughout the year include food, clothing, Christmas presents, reading programs and tech scholarships (currently a student is on a full scholarship learning to be an electrician).

Steve Larson, Community Relations Trustee, and Thurman Shurtleff of the Charity Committee, presented the check to Barbara Griffith, president, and her husband Walter, Treasurer of All-One-Family, (residents of the Village of Poinciana), as well as representatives from the Wentide Group from the Village of Collier, Joan Harding, Paula Jennings and Bob Bingman.

The donation by the Villages Parrot Heads Club presented at the Nov. 4 Phlocking at the Palmer Country Club will be used to issue $50 food cards to selected families to be spent during the Holiday season at the Save-A-Lot Grocery in Wildwood.

It should be noted that 100 percent of donations to All-One-Family go to support needy families.
