Villages wins approval for Spanish Springs drive-through bank

The Villages has won approval for construction of a two-lane drive-through at Spanish Springs Town Square.

The Lady Lake Commission on Monday night split 3-1 in a vote on the matter. Mayor Ruth Kussard cast the lone vote against the drive-through bank. Commissioners Jim Richards, Tony Holden and Dan Vincent voted in favor of the the plan for construction of the drive-through to be located directly behind the Citizens First Bank building on Main Street in Spanish Springs.

Commissioner Paul Hannan was absent from Monday’s meeting.

Citizens First Bank has indicated it will close the drive-through at Avenida Central. A golf cart garage will be going in at that location.

Golf course deserves a failing grade
