Home improvement project on Historic Side deemed to have the proper aesthetics

A home improvement project on the Historic Side of The Villages has been deemed to have the proper aesthetics.

Brian Curran, of 1811 Kaufman Circle in the Village of Country Club Hills, won permission Wednesday from the Architectural Review Committee to enclose his lanai and extend his roofline to meet the outside concrete edge. His application had been previously denied because it did not include information about elevations.

The owner of this home on the Historic Side of The Villages has won permission to enclose his lanai.

In reviewing the revised application, ARC members indicated it was “standard” for manufactured homes on the Historic Side.

ARC member Don Simson said it passed the “aesthetics” test.

Curran has hired Sauer and Sons Construction of Ocala as his contractor.
