Cat adoptions moved to PetSmart in Lady Lake during Marion County Animal Center closure

The Marion County Animal Center and the Neuter Commuter will close for quarterly cleaning and maintenance on July 23, 2014. The Animal Center will reopen for business on Saturday, July 26, and the Neuter Commuter will resume operations on Monday, July 28.

Animal Control will continue its regular operations throughout the closure. Residents wishing to report animal-related complaints may call 352-671-8727. Residents can adopt cats during the closure by visiting the Lady Lake PetSmart in-store cat adoption center, located at 534 S. U.S. Highway 441, Lady Lake.

During the Animal Center’s closure, owners of lost pets can view stray animals online, and residents can view animals available for adoption at www.marioncountyfl.org/animalservices. This site is updated automatically every hour, even when the shelter is closed.
