Generator stolen at Wal-Mart in Summerfield

A generator was reportedly stolen Monday from Wal-Mart in Summerfield.

A Marion County sheriff’s deputy made phone contact with an employee from Sunbelt Rental who reported that one of their rental generators had been stolen, according to an incident report. The employee advised that the generator was rented to Dealer Stop, who was using it to sell cars in the Wal-Mart parking lot located at 17961 S. U.S. Hwy. 441. Dealer Stop contacted Sunbelt Rental on Nov. 13 and advised they were done using the generator. They stated that the generator would be located in the Wal-Mart parking lot in front of the liquor store. When the Sunbelt Rental employee arrived to pick it up on Monday, the generator was not there. He told the deputy he spoke to one of the Wal-Mart employees who remembered “seeing it a couple of days ago.”
