Debacle in Afghanistan wouldn’t have happened under President Trump

To the Editor:

Clearly President Biden is fully to blame for the unnecessary bloodshed in Afghanistan. President Trump negotiated a withdrawal with the Taliban, but it was conditioned based and one of the conditions was that the Taliban not take over the country.
This debacle would not have happened under President Trump. President Biden disregarded his military’s advice to leave 2500 soldiers in Afghanistan to protect the withdrawal. He also didn’t need to time their withdrawal during the fighting season. The Taliban don’t fight in the winter. President Biden has shown our enemies and allies his incompetence and has weakened us in the world stage.
