Virginia “Ginny” Smith, 85, of Summerfield, Florida passed away October 29, 2013 at Sylvia’s Hospice House Ocala, Florida. She was born on February 12, 1928 in Keene, New Hampshire.
Ginny was a retired registered nurse. She moved to Summerfield from Chester, VA in 1993.
Ginny is survived by her husband, Wesley E. Smith; Summerfield, FL, four daughters, Andrea Lewis Tallahassee, FL, Diane Boettcher; Apex, NC, Kelly Corell; Chattanooga, TN, Jennifer Smith-Dakin; Cape Girardeau, MO, brother, William Mosher Surry NH, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages on Friday, November 1, 2013 from 12:30PM – 1:00PM. Funeral services will be at 1:00PM on Friday, November 1, 2013 at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, The Villages. Interment will be at Sunset Memorial Park, Chester, VA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, Melanoma Fund, External Affairs Office, UNC-CA CB#7295, Chapel Hill, NC 27599-7295.
