Volunteers needed for third annual Alzheimer’s Support Walk in Villages

Volunteers are needed for the third annual Alzheimer’s Support Walk set for March 28 at the Villages Polo Fields.

A meeting for volunteers is slated for 9 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18 at Savannah Center. Coffee and donuts will be served.

Hundreds of participants will walk, ride and participate in this event designed to benefit the families and caregivers of those afflicted with the Alzheimer’s disease.

“Many families have already benefited from Alzheimer’s Family Organization whose mission is to provide educational programs, support services and assistance to caregivers, families and individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and other dementia. Any support you give to Alzheimer’s Family Organization (AFO) will help sustain our services and programs in the organization and benefit the communities which we serve,” said Dominick De Petrillo, AFO executive Director. “Our vision is to provide all those with Alzheimer’s, or other forms of dementia, and their caregivers, to have a better quality of life.”

Alzheimer’s Family Organization is committed to providing services in the local counties of Pasco, Hernando, Citrus, Sumter, Lake, S. Marion, N. Hillsborough and N. Pinellas counties.
