Waiting in line too long at Happy Hour

To the Editor:

We loved seeing Johnny Dee and the Starlights at Brownwood Paddock Square on Friday night and, what appeared to be a record-setting turnout did not deter from our enjoyment, except for one thing.
I stood in line for a half-hour waiting to buy drinks for myself and my wife.
The very long lines at both refreshment areas did not seem to shorten at any time during Happy Hour. Everyone in line asked the same question: “How come they only have two bartenders?”
If you’re a frequent attendee at the squares I’m sure you have encountered the same problem.  What surprises me, and I think others, is why The Villages, which has always demonstrated great care for we Villagers and efficiency in every area, hasn’t increased the bar staffs during the season and for the most popular shows.
I know they can make happy hour happier.
