Wawa coming to County Road 466 and U.S. 301

The Wildwood Commission has approved the annexation of about 5.4 acres for a new Wawa convenience store on the northwest corner of the intersection of County Road 466 with U.S. 301.

Wawa, which has more than 700 stores in the mid-Atlantic region, opened its first Florida store in July 2012 and now has stores in the Orlando and Tampa areas. The company plans to add 120 Florida stores by 2022.

Wawa stores, which offer soup, sub sandwiches, fresh coffee and other food items, usually have more than 5,000 square feet of retail space plus gasoline.
