Wells Fargo bank robbed in Tavares

A man robbed the Wells Fargo bank in Tavares of an undisclosed amount of cash on Tuesday morning.

A man, who a witness described as a black male, came into the bank wearing a white hoodie and black face mask at 10:41 a.m., according to the Tavares Police Department.

The suspect was carrying a black bag and was wearing what appeared to be work gloves. The suspect demanded $100 bills and implied he had a gun.  Witnesses said they saw him get into the passenger side of a black two-door Hyundai and head south on U.S. Hwy. 441. The driver was not able to be identified, according to police.
