A site plan for an 11,000-square-foot ABC Liquor Store at Trailwinds Village, across County Road 466A from Pinellas Plaza, was approved Monday night by the Wildwood City Commission.
The liquor store is the latest Trailwinds addition, which also includes a Lowe’s home improvement store, an Aldi grocery store and a Circle K gas station.
The 103,000-square-foot Lowe’s with a 37,000-square-foot garden center is under construction and expected to open by February. Trailwinds has space for two similar anchor stores.
Both Aldi and ABC will be located in front of Lowe’s on the county road, according to a map provided by the Barclay Group, the Trailwinds developer. The gas station also will be on the county road. Leased shops also are planned close to the county road.
Ten small office buildings and a three-story, 247,050-square-foot storage building are planned for the west end of the property.
More retail stores, a hotel and an assisted living center developed by Legacy Lifestyles are planned for the eastern portion of the property.
In other business, commissioners also approved rezoning for a plant and garden business on County Road 462 and an assisted living center on County Road 101. They also heard the first reading of a proposed ordinance to ban medical marijuana dispensaries in the city.
