An employee of Wildwood Kitchen and Bath was arrested Wednesday on multiple felony charges after he allegedly used fraudulent credit cards to purchase and resell fuel.

The Department of Homeland Security contacted the Wildwood Police Department to inform officers that Jorge Emilio Alonso Hernadez, 26, of Ocala was suspected of using the fraudulent credit cards to purchase and resell the fuel to area farms.

A Wildwood police officer went to Wildwood Kitchen and Bath and found that Hernadez’s flatbed truck had a 100-gallon external fuel cell that did not have the required marking for transport of hazardous material, according to a report from the Wildwood Police Department.

Hernadez was found to be carrying two wallets, one of which held eight fraudulent credit cards. Another two fraudulent credit cards were found in the left front pocket of his shirt.

He was booked on $22,000 bond at the Sumter County Detention Center.
