A Wildwood man was being held without bond following his arrest Tuesday afternoon after he allegedly got into a fight with his live-in boyfriend over his texting another girl.

Wildwood police received a 911 call shortly before 2 p.m. The male victim told police that he had gotten into an argument with 25-year-old William Thomas Winter at the home they share in the 500 block of Wolfe Street. The victim said he had discovered that Winter had been texting another girl, according to the arrest report.

A third person who witnessed the altercation said she walked into the bedroom and saw Winter pinning the victim on the bed with his hands around the victim’s neck, the arrest report indicated. She said she attempted to pull Winter off the victim, but when unsuccessful, she called 911.

Winter was arrested on a charge of domestic battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
