A 28-year-old Wildwood man was arrested Tuesday morning in an alleged attack on a woman who threw out his belongings in a battle over the bathroom.

Dion Edward Nelson allegedly struck the woman multiple times with his fist and then poured bleach on her at a residence on Orange Street, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department.

The woman had attempted to enter the bathroom, prompting Nelson to close the door and deny her access. The woman then took Nelson’s belongings and threw them outside the residence. He then tossed her over a railing and attacked her, the report indicated. A witness verified the victim’s account.

Nelson told a Wildwood police officer that he would continue his attack on the woman if he was released from jail.

He was arrested on a charge of aggravated battery and booked at the Sumter County Detention Center.
