A Wildwood man was arrested after reportedly becoming irate over a woman’s failure to properly wash dishes.

Tawn Clinton Myers, 53, is facing a charge of battery following his arrest Saturday evening at his home on County Road 507.

Myers and the woman got into an argument over her failure to properly clean the dishes, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office. He became “irate” and grabbed the woman’s arms and threw her to the ground, the arrest reported indicated.

Myers denied knocking the woman to the ground. He said she fell.

He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting $10,000 bond.
