Wildwood man arrested in car burglaries

A 27-year-old Wildwood man has been arrested on felony charges of burglary, grand theft and drug possession after break-ins to three vehicles.

Michael Stephen Sceppa Reed was arrested Friday hiding in a closet when Sumter County sheriff’s deputies were investigating car burglaries in which prescription drugs, an iPod, money and gift cards were stolen from vehicles in Wildwood.

While making the arrest, deputies also discovered marijuana in Reed’s residence.

He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $10,000.
