A 42-year-old Wildwood man was arrested by a Sumter County sheriff’s deputy Wednesday evening for driving on U.S. 301 with a permanently canceled driver’s license.
A GMC SUV driven by Paul David Warren II was pulled over at 6 p.m. Wednesday for having no tag light. A check of his record revealed that his driver’s license had been suspended for financial reasons and failures to appear in court. The license had been permanently canceled on Dec. 19, 2013, according the arrest report.
He was arrested on a charge of driving while license suspended and issued a written warning for no tag light.
He was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where bond was set at $1,000.
