Wildwood man free on bond after arrest on marijuana charge

A 27-year-old Wildwood man is free on $500 bond following his arrest on a marijuana charge.

Preston Emmanuel Montalvo was pulled over Wednesday evening after he was clocked driving 53 miles per hour in a 40 mph zone on U.S. 301, according to an arrest report from the Sumter County Sheriff’s Office.

A K-9 unit was summoned an a dog named Diesel alerted on Montalvo’s vehicle. Montalvo admitted to having marijuana and drug paraphernalia in his possession. A knife was discovered in his pocket during a putdown.

He was arrested on a charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at the Sumter County Detention Center and released after posting bond.
