A 23-year-old Wildwood man who scuffled with law enforcement officers is facing charges of resisting and obstructing a police officer.

Eric E. Mobley Jr. was a passenger in a car that was pulled over Saturday night by a Wildwood police officer.

Mobley attempted to provide the officer with a false name, according to the arrest report.

He then leapt out of the car and while officers were attempting to restrain him, he knocked their portable radios and flashlights from them, the arrest report indicted. One of the officers suffered a scrape to his hand and knee during the scuffle.

Mobley was transported to the Sumter County Detention Center where he was being held without bond as officers indicated they believe he is a flight risk.
