Wildwood man jailed on $152,000 bond after allegedly attempting to tamper with witness

A 25-year-old Wildwood man has been jailed on $152,000 bond after allegedly attempting to make contact with a victim of a robbery.

Marcus Lee Woods, who has an extensive criminal history, allegedly attempted to make contact with the man Sunday afternoon at the Wildwood Commons Apartments. As soon as the man spotted Woods, he went inside, slammed and locked the door and called 911, according to an arrest report from the Wildwood Police Department. The man had been the victim of a previous armed robbery. That case is currently being prosecuted.

Woods was arrested on a charge of obstructing justice. He is also facing charges of battery and robbery.
