Wildwood votes to annex site of future Auto Zone

The Wildwood City Commission has voted to annex the future site of an Auto Zone store on County Road 466 near the intersection with U.S. 301.

The 1.09 acres being annexed is near the Murphy Oil service station on County Road 466.

The Auto Zone store will be located on the former site of the Oxford fire station which was demolished about two years ago.

Sumter County sold that piece of property for $450,000 to the parties bringing in the Auto Zone store.

AutoZone is a leading retailer and distributor of automotive replacement parts and accessories.
